****BACKGROUND****
International Medical Corps, a global humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs, seeks candidates for the position of ****M&E Coordinator**** in Sudan.
Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. ****ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES****
- Improve the existing M&E systems as needed, working closely with the Program Director
- Build and manage project-specific Program Management Plans (PMP), including updating the indicator performance tracking tables (IPTT) on a regular basis, providing feedback to the country program on targets versus achievements
- Manage the M&E team in monitoring the program-wide data collection and analysis process, ensuring high quality and accuracy
- Travel to field sites to ensure data collection systems are functioning properly
- Lead the development of all internal and external reports pulling inputs from field sites and different departments.
- Under the Program Director, coordinate and supportthe development of proposals and concept papers.
- Conduct needs assessments in the field as required by the country program team.
- Design and provide training to staff on M&E including the development and use of M&E tools
- Monitor data quality and use of data originating from the field.
- Coordinate in-country planning and implementation of evaluation activities, including qualitative and quantitative data collection and guiding any external evaluation process
- Build the capacity of local partners in the areas of data collection and monitoring
- Write, review and compile program reports including monthly reports, assessments, and surveys/studies.
- Participate in coordination meetings as delegated by the program director.
- Support the program director and country director in processing and finalizing contracts, relevant documents and agreements.

****QUALIFICATIONS****

- Bachelor’s degree related field, Master’s degree in MPH is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years programming experience in humanitarian work, with a specific focus on M&E
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (fluency in English required)
- Previous experience in the health, nutrition and WASH sectors desired
- Experience with proposal development and reporting to donors including USAID/OFDA,ECHO
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially excel and word and experience using other database software (SPSS, Epi-info, STATA, ENA for SMART)
- Experience with developing and delivering trainings to expatriate and national staff
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to travel to remote field sites, sometimes for extended periods
