Main Purpose of the role:

Options Consultancy seeks a Consultant to undertake a review of quality improvement and accountability in the area of family planning and sexual and reproductive health and rights (FP/SRHR) in Sudan.

The consultant will provide recommendations of key strategies for the WISH country programme to support quality improvements (Q) in FP/SRH in the country. This information will provide the WISH national ownership team with an accurate and up to date picture of SRH/FP quality improvements and opportunities for programme engagement. It will cover insights into the country' SRH/FP QI landscape, key stakeholders and a review of current SRH/FP QI approaches to used by the government and development partners.

the landscape analysis will enable Options to identify FP/SRH key players across the public and private sector, government (at both national and sub-national level), development partners and the community.

About the programme:

WISH Lot 2 is led by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) with the following consortium partners: Options (national ownership lead); Marie Stopes International (service delivery partner); International Rescue Committee (service delivery partner); Development Media International (social norm and behaviour change lead) and Handicap International (inclusion of people with disabilities).

Options’ national ownership approach is based on supporting governments to prioritise sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) in domestic financing and to develop and implement evidence-based policies and plans to meet commitments to create an enabling environment for SRHR and address the unmet need for SRHR, particularly among the poor, youth under 20, and people with disability.
