- Develop the LFS Core Competency strategy, technical SOPs/guidelines and Macro LFAs
- Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, CC tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Responsible for quality programme development and management including funding proposals, project budgets and donor reports
- Overall management of assigned project staff
- Coordinate and manage LFS CC project implementation and LFS components of integrated projects (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements
- Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
- Liaison and collaborate with relevant local and national authorities and stakeholders and represent NRC in relevant forums/cluster/working groups. Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
- Support the consideration and inclusion of cash-based interventions and market based approaches within (and across) NRC core competency responses, where appropriate.
- Contribute to the institutionalization of cash-based interventions and market based programmes though capacity building and interdepartmental engagement.
- Gather and analyse food security and livelihoods related data from target or proposed target populations, as part of integrated or joint assessments, and use this in response analysis to develop contextually appropriate, technically sound new projects and programmes.
- Ensure monitoring data is collected, analysed, included in NRC’s M&E systems and used to adapt programmes as required.
- Integrate environmental and nutrition sensitive considerations into all LFS projects
- Ensure safe programming principles are embedded in all LFS activities
Lead on recruitment processes for all LFS staff**Qualifications:
Minimum first level university degree/Bachelor’s Degree in relevant and related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience from a senior level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context
Experience from working in various complex and volatile contexts
Technical Livelihoods & Food Security expertise
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
Knowledge and skills in resilience/DRR approaches including environmental analysis
Knowledge and skills in gender and conflict sensitive programming
Knowledge and skills in market analysis, cash-based interventions and market-based programmes
Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Arabic language skills are an advantage
Knowledge of the context in Sudan
Experience with start-up programmes
Proven ability to work effectively across cultures, in sensitive environments and with stakeholders at all levels.
